My wife and I really liked the hotel. It's not new, and you can feel that in the rooms. For those who find it critical that everything in the room should be perfect, with no dust in the most hidden corners, they probably won't be satisfied. For us, what was important was the peace and quiet, as our stays in many Bangkok hotels often ended with us having to change rooms due to noisy neighbors. Here, our wishes were finally fully met. Either the hotel is so solid (it feels old but sturdy and strong) and the soundproofing is better due to thicker walls, which I'm not sure about, or the occupancy was just lower. Although I did see neighbors on our floor, and there were always crowds at breakfast—some serious business people in suits, whole delegations. The breakfasts were very good. I would rate them 8 out of 10. During our entire stay (5 nights), we never got tired of the breakfasts. The dishes didn't change much, but everything necessary was available. We always left breakfast full and satisfied. Inside the hotel, there is a spacious area with tables where you can sit and work on a laptop to the pleasant sound of fountains. They also sell pastries and coffee there, and the morning breakfast area becomes a restaurant. Additionally, by the river on the hotel grounds, there's an area for dining and entertainment, which is very cozy in the evening due to the warm illumination from string lights. There is also a pier on the grounds, which I thought would be another plus and we could go to Icon Siam from there. But the pier turned out to be private. However, the hotel offers a free shuttle to the public pier. Another nice touch: it was my wife's birthday. The hotel left a pleasant sweet bonus in the room in the form of a small cake. The cake was simple but tasty. This attention was very nice. Overall, the hotel left the most pleasant impressions. We will definitely come back here again.

Staff were friendly, check in and check out were uncomplicated and quick. The hotel is a little worn around the edges but we knew it was an older hotel. Still everything is well-kept and looked after, the room was very clean and in good condition and the bed very comfy. It was quiet and relaxing which is a bonus after a day's sightseeing in Bangkok. The views from the room across the river and the riverfront terrace are lovely, too. It would be even nicer if it was a little busier on the terrace. Although the hotel is quite far from Central Bangkok and major sights, it's easy to get a Grab car. We also got an a/c public bus all the way back to the hotel from the Grand Palace for a 20 THB fare. The rather glitzy Terminal 21 mall, which has dozens of restaurants, is next door and we found some very cheap and tasty local restaurants nearby. Asiatique Riverfront is also just a short taxi ride away. We didn't try the restaurant or café, but breakfast was very good with a very wide selection of Thai and international food. The various Thai and halal options changed every day and there were many other options as well. We didn't actually have time to use the pool or gym but they looked inviting. ini

Rooms are a good size and well equipped. Ample USB charging was very appreciated as this is an issue in most hotels. Some of the woodwork in the bathroom and wardrove was a littke 'tired' and needed some maintenance (revarnishing). We had an excellent view of the river. The staff were absolutely excellent in every respect and room service was topnotch - within 1 day, they realised we were going through a lot of the bottled water and doubled the amount left each day - attention to things like this really makes a difference. Breakfast was another plus with VERY ample choice - if I had to downmark at all it was that the bacon on offer was tasteless but to be honest, this was true of everywhere I had it in Bangkok. Location is a bit far from main attractions but we chose it for this location and a 7-11 and the amazing Terminal 21 mall was a 3 minute walk. Since Grab is so cheap, we used Grab for getting anywhere else and the drivers had no issues getting to us promptly.

All of the staff were fabulous. Particular shout-out to Koi (nickname) in the breakfast room. She was so friendly with everyone. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of Western and Asian foods. Coffee was good too. Check-in was easy and seamless. The elevators operated well - I say this because I have stayed at many hotels where there weren't enough elevators and you had to wait for ages. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable with a view over the river. The concierge and doormen were professional and courteous. I didn't use the gym area so I can't comment.

The hotel is old everywhere you look. Furniture, details, room, exterior.. Everything looks old and asking for renovation. But i felt that charming in a way. like a jump to the past, to 90s. Nice old movie feeling, cozy and relaxing. Good bathroom. Not so much guests, hotel felt more like empty. Food was delivered fast, food was good, prices also not so expensive.
